Hear how I got started, how to choose an event, who to reach out to and what to ask about filming access.
Plan shots across the paddock and track so you leave with enough material to tell the story of the day.
Walk through how I build a sequence, where engine sound carries the edit and how I approach color.
Talk through who to approach at race events, what to offer drivers and teams, and how to turn your motorsport edits into paid work.
02 / Behind the camera
I film cars and motorsports. Trackside is where I’ll share the decisions behind the edits, starting with the question I keep coming back to in my videos: how do you get started filming motorsports?
Ryan is a motorsport filmmaker who’s landed paying clients and consistently fills his calendar with race events. In the workshop, he’ll share the straightforward strategy he uses to find clients and book race weekends.
03 / Pilot session
Filmmakers who want to shoot their first motorsport event. It’s also for anyone looking to land paying clients at these events or level up their motorsport edits.
The date is still to be confirmed. This is a free live online session.
Enter your name and email in the Felts Films contact form and write “Trackside waitlist” in your message. I’ll email you when the workshop date is set.
